Sarah is an Employment Solicitor based in the Manchester office and joined Markel in September 2022.
Since qualification, Sarah has had a particular passion for litigation and specialises in all aspects of Employment Tribunal litigation, advising both Claimant, but mostly Respondent clients across various sectors including, but not limited to, health and social care, construction, transport, insurance, retail and hospitality. Her experience includes representing clients in the Employment Tribunal on claims ranging from unfair dismissal, discrimination and breach of contract claims, to more complex harassment and whistleblowing claims.
Sarah also has experience advising clients on non-contentious employment matters and HR issues such as drafting and advising on settlement agreements, assisting with disciplinary and grievance processes, advising on helpline services and drafting employer handbooks and policies.
