Markel aims to boost Leeds workforce by 25%, with roles in underwriting, claims, IT, HR, and finance.
This/last week, our divisional managing director, Neil Galjaard, spoke to both the Yorkshire Post and The Business Desk about how the UK business has expanded out of London with the aim of trading with brokers in the regions.
In what was a fantastic news story for both Leeds and Markel, Neil talked about how we are building a significant presence in the city with the aim of increasing the number of employees based in City Square House by 25% over the next two years to over 200. The roles will be a combination of underwriting and claims, as well as shared services such as IT, HR and finance.
And we are anticipating a bright future ahead. As Neil said in one of his interviews: “We don’t see any slowing down in that growth between now and 2030,”
