  • Employers Liability

    Employers liability covers legal liability for up to £10,000,000 to employees injured whilst in your employment.

    Cover includes:

    • Court attendance expenses
    • Legal costs and expenses in defending any criminal proceedings brought for a breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act (maximum £1,000,000 inclusive of limit)
    • Unsatisfied court judgements

    Public liability covers legal liability for injury to any person (other than employees) and/or loss of damage to property; libel, slander and defamation; wrongful arrest etc; trespass or nuisance arising from your business and occurring within the UK during the period of insurance.

    Products liability covers legal liability for injury, loss or damage arising from the sale, supply etc of goods or products from within the UK and occurring during the period of insurance.

    Professional liability covers legal liability for any civil liability* arising from your design, specification, supervision of construction etc. The limit of indemnity applies to each claim (including costs and expenses) and in total for the period of insurance.

    Contractors all risks covers damage to the contract works within the United Kingdom. Cover can also be extended to include constructional plant, hired in plant, temporary buildings and employees’ effects.

    Property damage covers buildings, contents and computer equipment against accidental damage (including theft). Cover is provided on a reinstatement basis (i.e. ‘new for old’). Reinstatement basis does not apply to stock.

    • Grounds of the premises (for up to £5,000)
    • Debris removal (for up to the value of the buildings or general contents)
    • Temporary removal (for up to 15% of the value of the damaged item)

    Business interruption covers loss of gross profit and/or increase in cost of working and/or additional cost of working and/or rent receivable for an agreed period due to interruption of the business following.


    Damage at the premises

    Accidental loss, damage or destruction to any property in the area near or surrounding the premises which prevents or makes it difficult for the policyholder to use or enter the premises for the purpose of the business.

    Accidental loss, damage or destruction to any property in the area near or surrounding the premises which prevents or makes it difficult for the policyholder to use or enter the premises for the purpose of the business


    Public Utilities

    Damage by a specified event at the following within the United Kingdom:

    • Generating station or sub-station of your electricity supplier
    • Land based premises of your gas supplier or any directly linked natural gas producer
    • Water works or pumping station of your water supplier
    • Land based premises of your telecommunications and internet services provider from which the policyholder obtain telecommunications services

    Local authority, government or police

    Closure or restriction in the use of the premises due to the order or advice of the competent local authority government or police as a result of the following occurrences at the premises:

    • Legionella
    • Food poisoning
    • Defective drains or other sanitary arrangements
    • Vermin or pests
    • Bomb scare

    Murder or suicide
    • Murder or suicide at the premises
  • Money and Personal Assault

    Money and personal assault covers loss of money for fixed limits depending on the nature of the loss.

    Cover includes

    Loss of money whilst the money is:

    • In transit
    • In the premises
    • In any private residence
    • On contract or exhibition sites whilst employees are working there at the time
    • In the night safe or at a bank

       

    If the policyholder, members of their family or employees or members of their family are injured during a robbery or attempted robbery in the course of the business we will pay either £10,000 or £100 per week for 104 weeks depending on the nature of their injury.
