Jo Sykes discusses how brokers and insurers view the importance of regional offices in the insurance industry.
With the world now far more ‘digital’ than even just a few years ago, Insurance Age set out to understand how both brokers and insurers view the issue of a physical office presence in key regions.
As part of the debate within the piece Markel’s divisional director for the UK broker channel, Jo Sykes, said brokers cared less about physical locations and more about service: “Insurance is a relationship business. There's a bit of a trend at the moment where there's a real emphasis on physical locations, but the number of offices you have doesn’t determine your success, it’s how you respond and how you service your customers,” she noted.
