Markel contributes to Insurance Times Claims Report
Insurance Times launched their in-depth AI Claims Report in October of this year, looking at AI and digital transformation within the sector’s claims functions. The report is based around a survey of more than 250 claims professionals. 90% believe that digital transformation is extremely or very critical in maintaining a competitive edge, and 76% of organisations are in the process of implementing or piloting AI solutions in their claims process.
Our Claims & Legal Services Director, Richard Napoli, was asked to contribute to the report. Richard was keen to stress that Markel is always looking to improve claims service quality. When it comes to AI and digital, however, the key for him is to adopt technology for the right circumstances. Certainly, the potential for AI to extract insight from unstructured data is exciting for complex claims.
