Alfred Lungu

Alfred is an Associate Solicitor in the Casualty Team at Markel Law, having joined the firm in April 2023.

His current area of focus is in dealing with injury claims within the health and social care sector and construction industry. Alfred specialises in defendant personal injury claims across a diverse range of claims including:

• Employers’ liability: Advising defendants against claims from employees injured in a work context;
• Public liability: Handling cases for organisations facing claims from injuries sustained by the public;
• Occupiers’ liability: Protecting property owners and occupiers against claims from individuals on their premises;
• Professional Indemnity: Advising defendants against claims for alleged negligence committed during the carrying out of professional services.

Alfred brings to bear his previous experience in dealing with a range of fast track and multi-track, RTA claims, Industrial Disease claims including noise induced hearing loss and Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome, and general Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims. He also has experience in property damage claims, including dealing with multi-track Cavity Wall Insulation claims.

Alfred is client focused with a strong commitment to adding value. He is skilled at narrowing down the legal issues and noted for his practical legal advice. Alfred shows a keen commercial awareness, seen by significant savings achieved on settled claims. Alfred is known for his strategic and meticulous approach to defence litigation.
