Our recently appointed head of schemes, Mike Petchey, had the pleasure of talking to Rosie Simms, reporter at Insurance Age recently.

Rosie was keen to speak to Mike following the announcement of his appointment. The discussion focussed on the fact that Markel has a liability focus to its schemes offering, something that is unusual in our market.

Although we have operated schemes with partner brokers and their clients for many years, Mike’s appointment marks the start of an ambitious push to create more collaborative opportunities for bespoke offerings for defined customer groups.
