Markel partners with the Trade Association Forum to support UK trade associations
Markel is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Trade Association Forum (TAF), the UK’s leading network for trade associations. As part of the arrangement, TAF’s 180 member trade associations—representing nearly 190,000 UK businesses—will benefit from access to Markel’s Business Hub, an exclusive online platform designed to support businesses with expert resources and guidance.
Supporting trade associations with expert resources
As the UK’s ‘association of associations’, TAF plays a crucial role in promoting best practice and supporting the growth and success of trade associations across a wide range of industries. Through this partnership, TAF members will gain access to Markel’s Business Hub, which provides:
- 900+ DIY contracts, policies, forms, and letter templates
- 600+ straightforward business guides covering key areas such as employment law, health & safety, trading, contracts, and cyber security
- Up-to-date insights on new legislation and case law
- Live chat support from legal experts, available Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
This resource, written by expert solicitors, will help trade associations and their members stay compliant, manage risks, and operate more efficiently.
A commitment to the trade association community
As part of the partnership, Markel recently supported TAF’s annual awards and look forward to supporting their annual conference in September. Markel will work closely with TAF’s members to develop tailored services that add real value to their memberships. In the coming months, Markel will explore opportunities to provide additional support, including legal, tax, and insurance solutions. These services are designed to help trade associations enhance their propositions and attract and maintain new and existing members.
Harry Shackleton, TAF Commercial Director, comments “TAF is excited to launch this partnership with Markel, whose resources and expertise offer a valuable addition to our mission to encourage the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations.”
“Markel has a long history of working with membership bodies, offering specialist insurance and expert advice to businesses across the UK,” said Markel’s Divisional Director - Partnerships, Nicola Sumner . “This partnership reinforces our commitment to supporting trade associations by providing practical tools and services that help their members succeed.
Markel’s Head of Partnership Development, Charles Coburn, adds “We look forward to working with TAF and its members to create a stronger, more resilient trade association community.”
