Funding Proposal Writer Rachel graduated from UMIST with a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry. Having studied for an MSc in neuroscience she gained her PhD in Surgery while working as a laboratory technician in the NHS. Since then she has worked as a post-doctoral researcher in various fields, including nanotechnology, immunology, biophysics, microbiology and malacology (snails and other molluscs). She has published work in topics ranging from the causes of kidney stones to the use of spectroscopy in environmental studies.
Having worked in R&D for over 15 years, and having always had a passion for new technologies, the opportunity to move into grant proposal writing for a diverse client base seemed too good to miss. Rachel joined the Funding division in 2017 and has already written grants for biomedical, IT and manufacturing enterprises.
