BEng Aerospace Engineering focusing on avionic systems. Over four years’ R&D experience
Gareth has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Aerospace Engineering specialising in avionic systems from the University of Sheffield. Gareth joined Markel Tax in late 2018 as an Associate R&D Consultant, working to assist the wider team with all aspects of the claim process, before working as an R&D Tax Consultant for four years. During this time he has built a diverse client base, with clients across several engineering disciplines (aerospace, chemical, civil engineering), software development and agriculture. Gareth is also a key part of the company’s Patent Box Tax Relief and Capital Allowances Teams.
Since September 2022 Gareth has worked as a Senior R&D Tax Consultant, assisting with the training of junior staff members, and is currently studying for his ATT qualifications.
