David joined Markel Tax in 1997 having previously worked as an Inspector of Taxes for the Inland Revenue. Over the last 25 years, David built up and managed our consultancy team before taking responsibility for managing the claims team where he applied his expertise in providing practical advice to Accountants dealing with HMRC enquiries on behalf of their clients. David now heads up our Underwriting Team and was instrumental in delivering the changes to our Policy in January 2020 which has produced a Policy with the enhanced level and scope of cover to meet the needs of our clients.
