Jonathan joined Markel Tax in 2012 having worked for HMRC for 21 years where he spent several years as a VAT Visiting Officer dealing with businesses of all sizes and covering a range of complexities. Jonathan specialised in investigation of businesses involved with carousel fraud (MTIC); with 10 years of experience in this field he took the project leader role in the Netherlands and Germany to disrupt MTIC activity impacting the UK economy. At Markel Tax, Jonathan provides helpline advice and supports the wider team on consulting and claims work.
