Steven Weir

Steven Weir is a social work manager with over 25 years’ experience in UK services. He has worked in a variety of statutory and private settings. Steve is a qualified social worker and has worked as both manager and practitioner across various teams, services and functions as part of his role. This has ranged from working as an approved mental health practitioner to developing and implementing service improvement plans. Whilst working in the private sector, he project managed the development of a number of clinical risk tools and designs and delivers training on a regular basis.

Steve has expertise in risk assessment, having designed, developed and trained in the use of a number of risk tools. Operationally, he has supported the implementation of change, particularly with a focus on service development and improvement – both identifying the need for improvement, where to make the changes for the greatest impact and creating buy-in from the teams. He has a proven track record in leadership as well as a real passion for performance improvement. He is comfortable with data and able to make sense of it in order to promote positive change.

Steve’s skills as a business analyst work alongside his operational management skills and training design and delivery to ensure he is well placed to understand and support with a variety of areas. Steve brings this unique mix of skills which means he is well placed to identify areas of potential improvement, undertake comprehensive risk assessment while understanding the clinical priorities for your service. He can work with you to design and deliver bespoke solutions which support your service to identify areas for improvement, tighten up processes for greater compliance and manage risk more effectively.
