Nicola Youern

Nicola is a consultant working in the fields of social care, charities and leadership training and coaching, and is a mentor on the government Help to Grow programme. She is a founding director of HIVE Portsmouth and a member of the Board of the Diocese of Portsmouth Council for Social Responsibility.

Prior to becoming a consultant, for 27 years Nicola was the Group CEO of the YOU Trust, a large social care provider, and managing director of My Learning Cloud Ltd, a social enterprise provider of online learning.

Her 40 years’ experience working in social care covers learning disability and mental health services, social prescribing, social welfare advice, community prevention work, counselling services and domestic abuse work.

Nicola has an excellent understanding of the provider market and as a leader she has a reputation for being values led and building a highly motivated Sunday Times Top 15 workforce with coaching, wellbeing and authenticity at its heart.

Nicola provides consultancy in a wide range of subjects including strategic reviews and business planning, business development, charity governance and transformation, quality and policy review and investigations.
