Jon has over 30 years’ experience in the social care and special education sectors. Jon started his career working in children’s homes and then moved to work in a number of special schools after qualifying as a social worker. He has worked in the public and private sector and with all ages of children and young adults with a range of needs and disabilities.
More recently, Jon has also worked as an Adult Social Care inspector with the Care Quality Commission undertaking many inspections of adult residential and domiciliary care settings.
Jon is an experienced trainer and has extensive experience of delivering behaviour management training and has held senior leadership positions with responsibilities for safeguarding, pastoral care, supported employment and placement funding. In these positions, Jon has been involved in working with Local Authorities in developing new models of funding and services for young people.
