Debbie Parkinson has over 30 years’ experience as a health and social care manager. She has successfully developed innovatory multi-agency services to a range of service users and has long-standing expertise in community-based service provision to people with mental health issues. Debbie has worked for over 20 years as a Registered Manager of voluntary sector organisations, pioneering the delivery of person-centered support to those with complex mental health issues including dual diagnosis, mixed-type dementia, and drugs and alcohol dependency.
Debbie has a Professional Certificate in Management and a Diploma in Health & Social Care. She has developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by health and social care practitioners. She has extensive experience of service regulation, workforce management and development, and the management and assessment of risk. As a Markel Care Practitioner Debbie has undertaken complex risk management projects for key clients, complex safeguarding investigation and accident and incident management, and has significant regulatory and practice experience which has been valuable in improvement journeys.
