Cheryl Ashton has over 30 years’ experience in mental health, substance misuse, learning disability, forensic and extra care settings together with 20 years’ experience in supported housing at a senior level. She has experience as a registered manager and in respect of start-up care homes; ensuring the understanding and implementation of Quality Standards and regulation activity inclusive of social care regulatory inspections in mental health, learning disability and extra care settings. Cheryl is an experienced social worker and practice educator for social workers, also being a nurse and an occupational health mentor and gained a BSc hons degree in care and education in the community,
Cheryl has developed many skills particularly in education, health and social care, quality assurance, leadership, assessment, person centred care planning. In past role she has carried out internal quality audit's for supporting people to ensure that service is adhering to the Quality Standards.
