Andy Quinlan

Andy Quinlan has 30 years’ experience for as a local authority Social Worker with children, young people and their families.  For over 20 years he worked in a children and families child protection team, as a qualified social worker and a team manager.  Andy also is a practice educator and delivered training for the safeguarding board and at Universities.  Andy has experience in managing children with complex needs, difficult to place, care planning, complex safeguarding and professional concerns via LADO and has been responsible for quality assurance and standards. Andy has experience of investigating complaints, investigations and achieving resolutions. Andy was the vice chair/panel member of a fostering panel and has experience of quality assuring paperwork including Form Fs that are presented to panel. 

More recently Andy has held the role of Team Manager in Connected Person's Assessment Team, as well as in Child Protection, Court and Assessment Teams.  He also was worked as a Service Manager and Registered Manager with Ofsted in fostering, working under The Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and national minimum standards.  He has recently overseen the implementation of a Mockingbird project in the Kirkless Council.
