Zain is a trainee solicitor set to qualify in 2025. Prior to joining Markel in 2022, Zain worked in law firms specialising in criminal and human rights law. Before beginning his training contract, Zain worked as a Delegated Claims Specialist in Markel UK’s Claims team.
Throughout his training contract, Zain has had exposure to a diverse range of work, focussing primarily on civil litigation and employment law. He has worked on both insurance-backed and privately funded matters. Zain has experience resolving claims of various sizes through ADR and determination by Courts and Tribunals. He actively seeks the opportunity to attend hearings wherever possible and has attended hearings in the Royal Courts of Justice.
In parallel with his legal training, Zain is studying for insurance qualifications offered by the Chartered Insurance Institute.
