Kellie Shaw has 22 years’ experience across adults and children health and social care inclusive of statutory, private and voluntary organisations. Kellie started her practice in counselling and moved to substance misuse and criminal justice with both children’s and adults provision. Kellie specialised in learning disability and mental health support managing residential homes and day care services prior to undertaking her social work degree. She has worked directly with challenging behaviour, complex needs in both practitioner and management roles, with more recently roles with children with disabilities and as a CAMHS practitioner. Kellie has worked for 8 years in a frontline statutory Local Authority role with experience with children’s homes, looked after children, leaving care, safeguarding and court proceedings.
Kellie is a registered/qualified social worker with Social Work England. She is qualified in level 2 British Sign Language, youth work and in grief and loss theory. With additional experience in the commissioning of services and packages of care for children, young people and adults. Her passion continues to be the support and provision of good quality services, therapeutic interventions and in ensuring professional growth and development. Kellie also undertakes Reg 44 visits for children’s homes.
